I read Jasmine Days by Benyamin long ago, but seeing events unfold towards the end of last year, drawing parallels between this book and the current political scenario became scarily easy, yet coming to terms with the mess at hand and understanding it was still very hard. Therefore, I feel that it is important if I am talking about this book, I need to mention the similarities that I have noticed.
